The Friends of Human Relations of Santa Clara County is a nonprofit organization founded in 1985 by Jim McEntee. (The Jim McEntee Legacy Committee is now completely incorporated into The Friends of Human Relations.) The mission of Friends today is to continue Jim’s vision and spirit in the community. The Friends board currently oversees the Jim McEntee Legacy Art Project, raises funds for the McEntee Legacy College Scholarship Awards, and serves as the fiscal agent for the County’s Office of Human Relations and the Institute for Nonviolence.
Thanks to our generous donors, in 2015 we were able to award $23,500 to thirteen community college students who have transferred to a four year university to complete their undergraduate studies. Click here for additional information about our 2015 scholarship recipients and our generous donors.
