Ann McEntee and the Friends of Human Relatons were joined by supporters on April 17, 2015 at our fourth annual Jim McEntee Scholarship Fundraiser and Celebration. The evening’s program featured appetizers and desserts catered by Peacock Restaurant Cupertino, international music from Kaweh, and special guest Dave Cortese, President of the County Board of Supervisors, speaking on the “Legacy of Jim McEntee.” Another special guest speaker was 2014 student scholarship recipient Vanessa Aldaco, who talked about returning to school as a parent and the need for students to recognize higher education as a possibility for them. Attendees also enjoyed the very best of contemporary Latino art from MACLA’s 17th Annual Auction which was on display in the gallery.
